Jawa Motorcycles

JAWA – Historically always been very active in racing stunts. Whether it was East-European sports or track racing or in Moto-cross, Jawa sustained their presence and followed up impressive records in the World Championships. Even in speedway racing, dirt track racing or in ice racing, they remained a prevailing potency and this way it differs from other competitors.

In India its triumph started long years ago, survived for long period with many ups and downs for globalization. It paused on 90’s and now again come back with its new charm, passion and spirit.  In November 2018, with a huge round of applause the Classic Legends Private Limited (CLPL) launched three motorcycles in India:

3. Jawa Perak

And herewith Jawa motorcycles come back to India again.

From the Historic era, the very first motorcycle came to India was named as 'Jawa'. Now, the traditional history repeats again itself from the antique world is also called the Jawa and not only that but both look quite identical too. The new design Remind back to the model that was the craze a few decades ago. The colour, the body panels and the chrome remind us of the Jawa in the 60s. From front headlamp, front fork covers and the chrome covered fuel tank, relaxed position handlebar let us feel a vintage outburst on the new Jawa. It is a 293 cc Single Cylinder, 4 Stroke, Liquid Cooled, DOHC engine with a maximum output of 27 BHP and develops 28 Nm of torque. The analog speedometer and fuel-indicator fitted on the headlamp that also memories of old days. With a flat torque curve, low-end torque is improved, so the riding experience is that much comfortable.

The Jawa 42, is slightly modern design version of the Jawa 300 with featured modern looking  headlight, Wide handle bar has end mirrors that make it more sporty and has the modern interpretation of the Czech brand. It is in a retro mood with classic look of Jawa and has a more Massive seating position. It gets better looking body panels, six variant colours and less use of chrome. it gets an integrated small LCD display that shows odometer and trip meter. The grab rails and front fork covers are all painted. The Rocking look must preferable for the youngsters who like machoness in their way. The bike draws power from a 293cc, compliant to BS VI standard, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The motor delivers a flat torque curve and the twin exhausts have been tuned to sound like the two-stroke engines that powered Jawas from the past.

So, it is to be concluded that the Mechanical specifications all are same in both the models.

Main difference between Jawa and Jawa 42 IS ITS LOOK. Jawa has an aesthetically retro look mosty decorated with shiny chromes and the Jawa Forty Two has a more urban and modern theme with matte black elements replace the chrome ones.

JAWA PERAK OVERVIEW

The more efficient 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine make the Perak roaring on the road. Six speed gear arrangement empower the machine to produce 29.9 BHP and 31Nm of torque transmitted to the rear wheel. This version is really unique in other Jawa models.


The front may be alike Jawa but the rear gets a completely different design. Riders dreamed to modify their bikes like its contrasting tan seating arrangement.This single seater dual channel ABS bike has a unique matte black paint job with blacked out front forks, spoke wheels, frame, engine and exhaust. The Perak gets a longer rear swing arm and twin rear mono shock absorbers. Braking receives a boost in the form of a rear disc brake.

Buyers will get the opportunity to test ride the new Jawa bikes at the respective dealerships. Deliveries for the first lot of Jawa bikes are expected to start in March 2019 onwards, preference would be given to to online bookers. Who booked their Jawa at dealer, may have to wait little  longer.

Classic Legends have confirmed that the Jawa Forty Two with a rear disc brake and dual-channel ABS option will be available soon based on demand. They has priced the dual channel ABS Forty Two at Rs 1.64 lakh (ex-showroom in Delhi). Deliveries for the bike will begin after June 2019. Classic Legends has also announced that buyers can purchase Jawa motorcycles under an exchange scheme and Choose finance though number of bank enlisted or by contacting dealers.
